Playing Marseille

This unique tarot deck honors the legacy of Old World cartomancy by marrying a humble pack of French-suited playing cards with the classic Tarot de Marseille. Reflecting tarot’s roots as a card game, Playing Marseille takes a playful approach to reading that highlights simple, accessible folk methods and keen observation instead of esoteric symbolism. Ryan Edward’s practical system of fortune telling is easy to learn and can be enjoyed with any Marseille tarot deck. Includes 78 cards and a 56-page illustrated guidebook with card meanings, keywords, instructions and sample readings. The guidebook explains how to read the tarot though the lens of classic playing card cartomancy.“Tarot cards are playing cards. In their original, most authentic form, they were designed for playing cards.” -Ryan EdwardRyan Edward is an artist from St. Louis, MO where he plays in the crossroads of design and magic in his studio.
